the socket should be a 16mm..... only difference between the spark plug socket and a regular socket is chamfered edges or rubber insert to hold the spark plug in the socket to make it easier to install or remove.

i dont believe you can get a 1/4" spark plug socket. i work in a garage and smallest ive seen is on a 3/8. you can get a 1/4" to 3/8" adapter though from halfrauds.

usually a 16mm socket as tom said.

becuase its the only one I have at the moment and it saves me buying a 3/8

I wouldn't even use a 3/8th for a job like that, half on a fairly big bar to start them off coming out. You need to shock them a bit normally.

jesus 3/8 all the way, id never use a 1/2 unless they were incredibly tight, and never bigger then a 3/8 to put in! think you will be lucky to undo on a 1/4 and if not buy an adaptor but tbh pick up a spark plug t bar and if there not too tight you wont need to buy anything else.....

would never use anything other then 3/8, i do own a 1/4 14mm multihex plug key for mini cooper/ds3 and pug gt right enough
