Is that enough to disconnect the power to it?
You got a rich code on that chamber?
Easiest thing would be to swap it with a known good one, not sure how they fail but it a fairly easy job to bosh another one on.

Thanks ian
I think it's cutting power yes, it's stinks of fuel at the backbox. Got no EML, however the EML is staying on for an extra second or so on start up.

Complete guess but if they're regulated in some way and that has gone dicky that would exhibit exactly those symptoms. Hopefully it shouldn't be too hard to find a spare set either, they're not rare.

If you can isolate it like that it would appear so.
Could be something cam/valve related particularly if its hot and not retaining oil but that wouldn't stop when you wiggled the plastic.

My 1.6 makes that ticking noise constantly and never knew what it was.
Is it just a matter of changing the injectors?
Sorry to hi-jack the thread .

Problem solved.
Changed injector while it was apart anyway, but also noticed it was clipped properly in with metal racket so could of been that too.
Thanks all
