Got a megane 1.9DCI and just as i picked it up from trader the service light and eml came on it also had a strange whistling noise both accelerating and slowing down. The whistling noise wasnt there on the test drive. Trader has asked me to take it to his garage where they have cleaned egr valve it made no difference.
They have now replaced the valve for a new one but again still no further forward. No power loss.
and its still coming up EGR fault code.
The garage is dealing with it all so im not to bothered and car drives fine.
Its going back in on monday, anyone any idea what it may be? just for my own sake?
