a couple of weeks ago the corsa failed its mot on front brake imbalance. i started getting wheel wobble when braking. the discs are pretty much new. i took then off cleaned them up then bled them once refitted. this totaly cured the wheel wobble and it passed the brake test. the pedal was nice and firm after i bled them but the spongyness has come back.
over the past couple of days the wheel wobble is back and much worse. can anyone help with this. i need to sort this asap as it feels terrible and the car is up for sale etc. i'm thinking the calipers maybe at fault. thanks

sounds like you may have pad knock back, caused by the brake discs not running true it pushes the pads back and opens the caliper up. so when you apply the brakes the pedal goes futher before anything happens. causes of this can be dirt/rust between disc and hub, distorted discs, distorted or broken hubs, wheel bearing failure. is your car on standard hubs or the so called motorsport hubs used on 2L convertions?

My v6 brakes also do this. I've changed the discs and pads and it still does it. It's a 1.6 corsa Gsi standard hubs

mine did the same before i changed the hubs and worse after, all sorted now by using corsa d 286 discs and cav hubs. the d's discs are all ready 4 stud there is a fait disc that fits as well but i dont know what its from. alot of people with 288 discs redrilled from 5 to 4 stud have this problem. you realy need to check disc run out with a dial gauge and the hub run out.
