Has anyone had any recurring probs with 12v corsa's blowing the gasket between the cat & the manifold. Mines keeps blowing, lasted 50miles after I spent 5hrs stripping & rebuilding it! It's done it five times now & it's about to mysteriously catch fire! Anyone able to help me on this? Cheers peeps!


just changed it from V12 to 12v

Nobody else want to admit that they drive 12v's? lol I know there are loads of u'z! Either that or mines a shed & the rest are ok!

neva heard of that b4. i had a 1.0 from new and did 30K on it.

I've had mine since it was 18months & it has given me nothing but grief! Still luv it cos it looks so good but it's a dunger!

Maybe you should take it to an exhaust place to get it sorted?

sounds like its being tightened on the wrong torque setting

I have just changed my 1.0 12v manifold gasket recently at 36k miles. Now at 38k, the actual exhaust manifold has cracked! That is also apparently common.

Mines was alegedly done under warranty, but all they did was patch my cat with chemical metal, wanks! Exhaust place tried to pull my pants down, going to local engineering place who are a good bit more trustworthy. Torque settings are ok unless the haynes manual is wrong.

Exhaust fixed today! Oh joy! Kwikfit triumphs, helps if manager is ex-vauxhaull & a good mechanic! EGR valve fuked now though!
