So Easter we took a last minute decision to do a bit of a road trip (well last minute for us as we are normally booked well in advance for these sort of trips)

We flew to Mulhouse and travel to and through the following;

Basel
Bern
Thun
Interlaken
Lauterbrunnen
Grindelwald
Interlaken
Brienz
Lungern
Lucerne

Wonderful trip - we had one bad afternoon of weather but apart from that we had wonder scenery, great roads, great food, great beer and a bloody good time.

Expensive though. Can't pic a highlight yet. Below are some iphone pics so not the best - mad busy but will try and get my DSLR pics uploaded over the next week or so

looks like a stunning trip! Do you know how much it roughly cost you out of interest?

biggest costs where hotels I would say but we stayed in some nice hotels by our choice - top of my head costs were

£120 ish for flights with easyjet (thats for 2 people)£130 for car hire for 5 days
Basel and Bern where around £100 a night
Interlaken was £200 for one night
Lucerne was £260ish for one night

Spent around £100 a night for evening meal though with beer - not a cheap place t eat and drink (that is for 2 people)

Car used £25 worth of fuel

Those were the big ticket items apart from cable cars - depending on the area you were looking at up to £30 each for the cable cars

Great pics. Love Switzerland. Father in law has an apartment in Grindelwald so fortunate to go whenever we want. Get 1/2 price rail fairs too so works out cheap for us. Lovely place to sit and watch the world go by.

I forgot to say in last post, I use a Canon 7D, majority of the time it's used at horse shows with my youngest son, haven't used it yet on scenery. Lovely photos you've taken.
