hey people!
at the moment i have an MD unit, but im wantin to upgrade soon.
the problem is whether to stick with an MD unit or go for a CD unit?!?
reasons i want MD:
i have loads,
i can copy what i want
small, dont get scratched
dont own many cds
reasons i want CD:
much better spech for price ratio
better SQ
mp3 capability
loads to choose from
im wantin to have a changer as well. but with a budget of £400-500 for the whole lot.
if i go MD unit say for about £300 this should leave me with £200 fo a mp3 changer
if i go CD unit for about £300, i have to find an md changer for about £200.
the biggest problem is that certain manufacturers dont do MD in units or changers!
only a select few like sony and kenwood do md changers and they're +£200
i've looked at a few md units availible and i fancy the alpine one.
does anyone know if alpine still sell this model or are making a new one.
i really dont want a sony unit, i wouldnt mind kenwood. they had a mask md unit, but i think its been discontinued. 
can anyone help?

Just buy an alpine MP3 capable CD headunit for about £250 and put all your minidiscs onto MP3.
Thus you have got a decent HU upgrade and still have £250 to spend on summat else!!

cant u connect a Minidisc player to your PC through the soundcard and do it that way?
