what about the exhaust? how do you get one to fit. will it have to be custom made when the 2l is in the corsa

dont think theres much point in a 2lt 8v, coz they only got 115bhp, where as the corsa 1.6 16v has got 109bhp, and would be much easier to fit (i think!!)

not if u get the SR130 engine
it about even with a 2.0 16v up to about 50 then the 16v extra bhp shows and it pulls away
advantages are:
lighter
less fuel
simpler to fix
cheaper to upgrade
negatives are:
less power
thats about it, but cos ur doing this to get more power its a big draw back
ur choice

8v will have about 120lbft of torque i reckon, as the 2.0 only has about 140ish lbft

cheaper to service/tune/insure.....
and has more torque than the 16valve just dies off with the power where as the 16v holds it

if you are having power steering, you also have to change all the pullys on the timing belt.
The timingbelt is 1 big one for the alternator and powersteering.
for the corsa it is best to take the timingbelts of the 16v which are
1 for the alternator and 1 for the powersteering.
I've got an 2.0 8V 115bph,
If I check all the posts about the 16v, seems to me that the 16v is much easier to fit than the 8V.
I also can be wrong
