I'm with Endsleigh, they didn't care about my alloys as long as I had locking nuts on them.

Endsleigh give you loads of discount if you are a student, and they take into account Pass Plus too.

I'm 18 insured on a 1.4 sport paying £1350. But in the end there's loads to take into account.

Its not just the price of the basic car insurance to think about, you need to consider what you want to do to the car and how much extra on insurance it will cost you if you go ahead.
One place may be cheapest but not alloy mods or wants loads for them, another place my be more expensive but cheaper on mods.
Like it has been said there's loads to take into account.

the person you spoke to at direct line must be lying unless they have changed their policy within the last couple of months
both myself and my sister have had alloys on cars insured by direct line.

Try http://www.elephant.co.uk they have an on-line quote thing which allows you to include mods and you can play around with your policy and it comes out with prices. Give it a blast, it only takes 5mins and its pretty cheap insurance
