Hi,
My daughter`s corsa is having problems starting. Some times it starts normally and then it takes a least 10 times before it fires over, and it`s sounds like it is running rough.
I have checked the spark plugs and every think appears to be okay. As i mentioned above it sounds like its running rough then the next minute it seams okay.
Also it smells quite heavy in petrol when the above is happening
Any body have a clue whats happening here. It a 973cc 12 valve.

common fault, Ive found 2 coilpacks lately where the pins have corroded.
if you have no joy at the acrappy I have 2 spare ones, both tested and good. (not the ones with the rusty pins btw )

just take the spark plugs out and rest it on somthing while its plugged into coil pack. get someone to turn it over to see if each plug sparks, do it one plug at a time though.
