Hey everyone, Im trying to get my remote start to work properly but there is one slight problem with it. The problem comes to the engine getting fuel i think as the engine turns over but doesnt start with the remote start. If i have the keys in the igition in the "accessory" position and press the remote start button it starts fine. Ive wired up the "accessory" wire to the alarm as instructed but it still puzzles me.
Is there a second wire i should wire up to the accessory wire on the alarm to start the fuel pump relay?

Ive just been told by someone that it maybe that I havent wired it up to the immob, but I didnt think I had one... lol. The engine management light flashes and got told thats a result of it. If this is the case how would i wire it up properly?

are you sure, it doesnt look like a chip, it looks like a tiny lump of blk plastic, but EM flashing indicates imob error, try putting the key near the ignition lock (not in or switched on) then try remote start i put money on it will wrk

Yeah, it'll work and also mean the car is easier to steal

Taken it apart again to have a look and on the left is a small black retangle and the other side is the bulb. Is the small black thing the chip?
Now I know I have an immobiliser ive been told to wire up the immobiliser wire to the cars immobiliser relay. I know the relay for that is in the fusebox but i dont know which relay it is, could anyone tell me which one it is please?

Every Corsa, right from the beginning had an immobiliser, so unless yours has a history (i.e. stolen recovered) it must have a chip.
What you have described does sound like the chip to me.
I was about to take my key apart and show you, but I don't have my keys, the repairer does

you need an immobiliser by pass unit!!!
thats the only reason it wont work cos ur imobiliser stops the fuel relay workin hence turn over but no start! u can get em off ebay quite cheap!

why fit a remote start anyway? if you need to put a key in and turn it then why not turn it the extra 10mm to start the engine?

Im only fitting it is because 1. Its cool! 2. Whats the point have a button on the key fob that doesnt do anything lol?
Is there such thing as an immobiliser bypass? and if so can they come already part of the alarm?

every car after 1995 was fitted with a cat 2 immobilliser as standard, so if your coesa is 95 on it has a transponder in key, as people are telling you take out transponder and tape to ignition barrel next to immobilliser aerial, this will cure problem, but if car gets stolen insurance wont pay out

I disagree.
Fair enough, was a rough guess.
I take it the ones that still had Nova bits on didn't?!
Olsrey - thanks for the concern. By key fell apart once in a car park, luckily I found the spring for the light AND chip.

i have a remote start........its awesome, when your cars frozen......as aside from just starting the engine, it allows all the ancillaries to run too..
eg, internal heaters, heated rear screen.
ideal for the winter
but mine is thatcham 1..

Agree with you totaly it does come in handy and you can have the car started with the alarm active and doors locked so its safer than going out there starting car and leaving keys there.
Mine is a falcon EVO 4, so not the best in the world but it does the job

Nope, it was the early ones, C16XE GSis don't have one.
I think it was ONLY the post 97 cars, might be wrong though.

I could just see me leaving it in gear, and taking off the next time I start it
