Got 2 crank sensors here and a mates xe that is not sparking. Getting fuel but no spark at all. The original one is the metal type and is broken, and the replacement is black plastic.

Are they both compatible or different as its still not getting spark and i have ruled everything else out. Its a dizzy type XE by the way.

have you actually tried to see if you are getting a spark using the king lead just disconnecting it from the dizzy cap and put it on somewhere on the chassis see if you can get a good spark.?

i know thats whats got me stuck. might try sticking another loom on it incase there is a nick in this one somewhere down the line.

cant see what else it can be unless the original immobiliser is cutting in even though the x14xe ecu and chip is history. wasnt aware of any corsas having another immobiliser except the one in the ecu/key.
