This has taken me 27 years to decide

I am not joking either, i have a fave album and a fave band. But never been able to pin a tack on the exact. Bizzarely thanks to Dr Pepper who re ignited my love for Metallica with his random documentary posting i finally decided this song is my fave. I can't really explain why? Probably because its what i would call EPIC of all things, and i can listen to it in any mood. Even though i have heard it a million times i am always pissed off when it ends and wish there were another 10 versus.

Anyway post yours:

Christ that's a difficult one!

I have always liked The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony since the very first time I heard it though?

Without doubt one of my most favourite songs.

Got a lot of tracks that I really like but this one sticks out.

The Source ft Candi Staton - You Got The Love. It actually lifts my spirits listening to it:

[The Original Bootleg radio mix as featured in Layer Cake, not the inferior yet unexplicably lauded version of the song by that ginger mongo mouth Florence and the cunting machine ]

I've got two.

Third track off the sub-focus album - follow the light, and HIM - love said no.

Which reminds me, I should listen to both more often

Inme - I Will Honour You

Reminds me of my uncle, first song that has ever reduced me to tears. Brilliant.

I wouldnt say i have a favourite, there is probably 10 that are all on par with each other.

Buuuut nobody else will post it so:

The Jam- Thats Entertainment
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-H0uIH5HHQ&ob=av2el

Just for the simplicity of the rythm, the lyrics, and the fact that it was wrote on the back of a fag packet.

(the newer live Weller versions are better imo)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zsmCb3r7HXg

This one especially http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2l2Se1wawI

Edit- Good call Rich H, that up there if i had to make a list.

I couldn't choose one, it's just not possible. There are quite a few that give me goosebumps, but then in other situations there are some i'd prefer to them. I love music, unbelievably powerful.

It's impossible to identify just one, as I like too many different genres, but The Verve is one song I remember I always liked from the very first listen and never get bored of it

Had a think about it and i've gone for.....

Snow patrol - open your eyes
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtAGQTKC89Q

Because it takes me back to end of the summer 2007, was at a party in Ibiza near the end of the season, day time in an abondonded zoo with friends and the missus. It had been an amazing summer living in Ibiza, it was coming to an end but at that moment I can remember hearing the song in a nearby tent, I stood there with the missus and for that few minutes life was perfect, reminiscing over the amazing summer, just everything in life was spot on, not a care in the world! So for that I name this my favourite tune.
