Now it's getting dark earlier I've found out how crap the standard lights are on my SXi (especially on main beam).
Anyone uprated their main beam bulbs and, if so, what did you go for. Is it worth uprating the dipped beam bulbs as well?
So far I've only changed the indicator bulbs for Osram Diadem bulbs to get rid of the orange (fried egg) look.
Hope you can help.

I changed all my bulbs in my Corsa C... You need H7 and the side lights are W5W
2x SideLights
2x Dipped Beam
2x Main meam
+2x Spare Sidelights
Replaced them all with Phillips Blue Vision bulbs.
Only Cost £59 as I didnt have to buy the Sidelights as they have an offer on where you get them for FREE!!
Bought them from http://www.powerbulbs.com/
They make a big difference, especially when driving down country roads....
Pics.
BEFORE.

AFTER.

I think the pics will convince you too get some, OH an they are all Legal

Are they legal??
I got 8 bulbs for £59 which works out at less than £20 a pair so infact mine where cheaper than yours
Plus a get the cool BLUE look. (well worth the money)
And just so you know, mine give off an HID BLUE effect.
What phillips/powerbulbs say.........
Blue Vision replicates the HID High Intensity Gas Discharge System fitted as standard to more and more of today's prestige and performance cars. This is because the new and improved design means the bulb burns at 4000K (Kelvin) - no other bulb has this colour temperature, which is the closest to natural daylight. The lamps recreate daylight driving conditions at night therefore contributing to safety and performance.
Think that proves my point

lol, i'll get a pic up of mine tonight then
duno if legal or not lol cos they are all in japanese.
But who gives a fuck? Theres no way of proving they are illegal, becausew they dont shine a blue or red or any colour of light. They just shine Bright, bright white.
i've ran them for 2 months, been stopped by traffic police with them on up here and down in northampton and they aint sed a word bout them. They checkd over ma car, even check my headlights to see if i had colourd bulbs.

Noonster these better be good i'm considerin gettin some for my Corsa B as they are appalling. But £59 ouch! I'm not bothered whether they are legal or not, so can anyone else suggest other (cheaper) brands? Noonster how blue do yours show up? Bear in mind I will have those black headlamps soon, which aren't shiny inside. Cheers.

i'm sure the bulbs will have a 'E' mark on them if they're legal?
if they were that picky, they could remove the bulb and look at whats stamped on it? if its producing too much wattage, then they're illegal. its unlikely you'll get pulled with white bulbs though.
neshol - he only paid that much because he bought a few sets lol. try bulbs from halfords, Ring and osram. also piaa but most are not 'e'marked. and all those japanese boxed ones on ebay are illegal too lol.

They are good mate..... trust me
About the Blue colour, imagine a car with HID lights behind you and when they go over bump you can see the blue..... Its just like that but obviously not quite as bright..... also if you look at them from an angle you can see.
Hard to explain really, sorry
Black headlamps??

Yeah you can get them for Corsa B...
You will need H4, if in doubt give them a ring.

Those are what I meant. They aren't as reflective inside, so you get less light I think.

So H4 and H7 are the same, just different fitments?
