if you set the internal ip of the router to above & so on it should of worked...

lol routing between 2 pooters, its piss easy. And with you having XP home, you are making a mistake. Just use home networking wizard. I know you havent used it cos windows always sets the host IP to 192.168.0.1 unless your router is acting as a DHCP host and if it is, its probably not set up tidy.
