right.just been out for another drive. it only does it once the engien has warmed up. say like 5 mins down the road. then it starts doing it. i took the plugs out they were all sparking but one wasnt sparking properly so i put an old one back and and it was sparking fine. put it all back together. drove down the road, loverly its not doing it. a few mins later it started doing it agen. me mate rekons me head gasket might be on its way out. but i havent noticed any thick white smoke coming from me zaust.
all this started happening friday night. i swapped over me exhaust from a peco big bore 2 to a big bore 4. weather this would have had anything to do with it i dont no. but i drove it around most of thursday night with no problems. havent got a clue atm

buy a new spark plug to replace the old one. check its got a good connection.
tell your mate to STFU about head gasket, thats what people say when they dont konw whats wrong with it and want to sound like they know what they are talking about.
so you have narrowed it down to a plug not sparking properly, sort that first then trace the problem back if its still there with a new plug. it could be the ht rail, ht rail connector plug, check them next.

one thing i did notice when i had the sparks out is that one of the rubber bits where the sparky sits in has split. could this have anything to do with it. how much is a ht rail?

If you find out what the problem is please tell me !
I have the exact same symptoms with my 1.2 8 valve (x12sz). I have replaced plugs, leads and coil pack. I have tried running the car with the lamda sensor unplugged and I have cleaned out the EGR valve but the problem persists.
I am going to replace the fuel filter aswell but after that I have ran out of idea's !

i reckon AF< or here's a silly question, do you start it with your foot on the throttle? corsa's make a really strange noise if you do that and occasionally pop aswell. sounds like hell

a faulty air/fuel mixture could be literally 100's of things! if that plug isnt sparking properly, that could cause it as you will be getting unburnt fuel in the exhaust. could aslo be caused by timing, coolant temp sensor, tps, afm, faulty plugs, leads, dis pack, head gasket problems, knock sensor, egr, lambda sensor, air leaks...............
sorry, but think you just wasted money on the diagnostic test
theres no easy solution to this unfrtunately. was it a proper vaux diagnostic machine or a halfords special?
