Hi Vaux Lad,
It's a 1997. When you say transponder sistem is that the one with the chip pickup on the ignition barrel ? That as far as I know is what this one has.

Yeah.
Hmmm, to swap ecu would mean changing the pickup from around the ignition barrel, and the chip in the key.

That's my problem, no key to get the chip code from, If I had the 1.4 key I could get one cut to fit my locks and chipped to suit the 1.4 ecu. Can the chip code be extracted from the ecu?

Prob be easier for you to have no immobilizer, buy then that does mean less security.
