been eyeing this phone up for a while since i heard of its release...had a phyical look at one in P4U yesterday...the only thing i had slight reservations about is how wide it was? peoples views on this?
Also how are people finding internet/processors, as i need a new laptop but thinking his phone would suffice for the general browsing i do especially as it can playback video unlike iPhone. Thoughts?

thats normal. the operators bastardize them with their software integrated into android, whereas p4u sell them "vanilla" so they are exactly as samsung intended.

Yup Orange will customise it to the hilt and then due to doing so many customisations never relase any updates for it

it is a little wide tbh
i had a samsung d900i last and i could txt whilst driving and not look at the phone
now im annoyed that i cannot do this because 1. no keypad. 2. its wide and my fingers cant get all over the screen, i need to use two hands to use it properly, otherwise its unstanble with 1 hand and could slip out especially being so thin !
processor/internet - fantastic. it hasnt even fllnched once. id even go as far as saying its quicker than my laptop.

battery life is actually brilliant - much better than my wifes new iphone. (felt guilty about having a nice phone, so decided to buy her an iphone she has been going on about for so long)
on papers its got 29day standby time.
but in reality it will easily last you a whole day if you constantly use the wifi/3g, games, camera, calls and texts.
if you have a busy day and dont get time to faff around with it, so long as u have data and wifi turned off it might even last you two days.
i left home with 96% at 9am
i got home from work at 6pm and still had 80%that was when i just made 2 phonecalls and sent half a dozen texts.

also to mention, it has a gorilla glass screen.
very very very durable. hard to break.
they say its also very difficult to scratch, but i wont be testing this.

Years ago when I actually had a phone with buttons on it I could literally text on it whilst driving (but not look at the phone) as I knew the keypad layout etc.
No way in hell can you do this on a touchscreen phone!
BTW - stats from my iPhone 4:
(time since last full charge)
Usage = 2 hours 23 minutes
Standby = 5 days 18 hours

I have my IP4 on loudspeaker up full, all the way to work and back (30 mins each way) and light use inbetween and its lasted 5 days before
