it can happen after any time, some sets do have features such as pixel orbiters and whitewash to try and reduce it but it can happen and more openly on plasmas.

also tv's programmes such as MTV move logos around the screen to try and stop it etc, just be careful on games etc and leaving it on menu screens.

That must have been hard work. Did you not stop for a toilet break/nap?

Yet to hear of anyone who don't suffer from headaches after just short session of 3D on this TV though. Not sure what it is, but apparently something with the refresh rate makes it unbearable.

Besides the passive 3D systems (with their inferior resolution) the high end Panasonic plasma TV's are supposed to be the most comfortable for prolonged 3D watching. Would be interesting to see if plasma generally offer better 3D, from a comfort perspective...

Who has seen full length films on both plasma and LCD TV's?

played couple hours of 3D gaming which was different, quite hard but a nice picture.

tried 10 mins of 3D demos the other day on a 42" LCD and caused my eyes to strain massively, played around with the lighting in the room and strain went right away!

Those issues aside, the main thing you need to know about 3D HDTVs is that plasma produces a more realistic 3D effect than LCD (regardless of backlight technology). Consumer Reports' lab testing attributes this to two factors: plasmas have less ghosting because of their much higher refresh/scan rate. The benefits of plasma (unlimited viewing angle and deeper blacks) also aid "the sense of depth and dimension." They do, however, note that the brighter screens of LCD displays can be a plus for some viewers, because auto-shutter glasses dim the image produced by the screen when viewing 3D content.

Interesting points...

Would love to test this my self.

I had a FAIL today, I wondered why the 3D wasnt that impressive on Black Ops, I figured it was because instead of going from PS3 to my TV I went through my AV amp and it wont throughput 3D.

I plugged my HDMI straight from PS3 to 3DTV and bingo, 3D in full effect, actually really enjoyed playing it in 3D as much as 2D!
