Notifications look very similar to what Teehanlax knocked up http://www.teehanlax.com/blog/iphone-needs-a-new-home. Certainly an improvement on what iOS had before compared to Android and the likes. There a few features that are getting shown that are pretty 'cool' but certainly nothing new.
Edit - Wonder what iOS 5 will be like on 3GS'? I think it'll make it slow like 4 did.

are you suggesting that apple took an existing service/product and rebranded it, thus making it cool and popular?

They should have just stuck android on it tbh, would then be epic.

If you're talking about iOS 5, nothing mentioned are 'new' features; the added features already exist in other mobile OS's (or plan rip-offs like the notifications). The only kind of ish impressive bit is the fact that functions like the iCloud will no doubt work pretty seamlessly compared to what, say, Android offer which is a bit 'clunky'.
Was expecting a lot more from iOS 5 though.
Lion looks good though, again was expecting a fair amount more but looks like a worthy upgrade.

Allows one to access ones shite from multiple Apple products - ie: take a nudie pic on your iPhone and Russ will be able to spank to it on his iMac without you needing to send it to him.

I'm putting money on the iCloud getting hacked and naked photos of celebs getting released ie: similar to what happened with the T-Mobile Sidekick.....

Bit of a dissapointment. Some good bits in there but much of what they talked about I get with..
Google - Gmail / Docs /Calenders / Contacts all synced automatically across my devices already
Dropbox - Any docs I create are there on any other machine too.

I use dropbox but you have to manually go in and upload pics to the dropbox before you can see them on other devices. A fully integrated automated 'stream' is a much better solution.

I'm still alive people, have been following WWDC from on holiday in Spain
I think the cloud stuff looks interesting, having your photo gallery in the cloud available to all devices is a great feature.
For apple to also look after all my copied music and stream it to the devices is also quite handy.

It looks like you have to pay for the copied music thing, google are doing that for free.

Have you seen the chromebook john? Uses googles cloud.
Essentially it's a browser netbook, boots in 10 seconds, resumes instantly
