Good point Never really thought of it like that
I think you will get just as bored of a K1 aswell. They look the part but they are a big tank and still FWD. You will miss the chuckability of the Skoda.

Fuel bills couldn't be anymore different if they tried, but yeah I'd be tempted. You always loved Scott's one Luke.
Just you have to think twice about going to places when it's going to cost you so much, that's the problem I am finding.

Orange dials are there so they don't strain your eyes at night. All BMw's have this.

Are you trying to say your Fabia is 500bhp with £200,000 spent on it?

Out of interest, what does your car have that this one doesn't?
http://pistonheads.com/sales/3237649.htm
I think your one does look better, but that has more power and a good spec list and is cheaper? Genuine question of difference btw

well i know my car isn't worth £20k to others but to me because i've put the money into it i see it as more than £20k and still drive it on the limit with 3rd party only insurance, so tbh yeah i would
It might not seem it but there is a huge difference between spending 20k on a 5k car over a period of time and spunking 20k in one go on a car.

I read 2 pages of this mate, 20k is a serious budget for a car to buy outright. With that kind of money why dont you get a mk1 focus rs with change! they will hold there money...... just a thought. Good luck selling the fabia, Diesel and proformance is what alot of people are looking for

I know not everyone would want the below that I list but I evidently did as I bought them. I'm not saying everyone will value my car as more but some will and have.
K Sport brakes (£1,000)
Leather interior (£900)
Xenon headlights (£350)
Compromotive Mo 6's (£1,200 with the tyres)
KW V3 Coilovers (£1,350)
Mocal Oil Cooler (£350)
LED Conversion (£500)
NewSouth Performance Indigo Gauges (£300)
Parking Sensors (£300)
Cruise Control (£150)
I could go on forever with little modifications that would keep adding up but it'd only bore you...
Now bare in mind that the car in that listing sold for £9,250 I really don't see why people are so shocked that I'm being offered £10,000 for mine when just in the above list there's an extra £6,000 on the car... If I genuinely thought it was a good deal on my behalf I would take it but I haven't.
The car is worth whatever someone is prepared to pay.

You said no matter how many modifications were done it wouldn't sell for £10,000...

Dont think youve mentioned a price apart from saying you wont take £10k for it, so what do you see a reasonable asking price for your car?

Reasonable would probably be £10k. If I was given the car then yeah £10k would be a nice amount for it... But to me it's worth more as I've put the money into the car. I'm not even decided if I want to sell it yet. I'm not saying £10k isn't enough for it but it's not enough to make me snap their hand off atm

So you've taken it to an extreme and basically asked if a rallycross car is worth 10k?

To prove you wrong, yes... You said no amount of modifications could make the car valued £10k but clearly it can.
The car on Piston Heads is no where near the spec I quoted and it made £9.2k or whatever, I was taking it to the extreme just to show you that it's easily possible though
