To be fair, the iP5 is incredibly light, so 50% more isn't exactly that much.

"Tragic Flaw

It's just too heavy.

The Lumia 920 weighs almost half a pound. It clocks in at just under than 90 grams less the iPad Mini. A tablet. It weighs more than the Galaxy Note II and the Titan. No, really. It's uncomfortable enough to be disqualified from serious consideration.

It's just too heavy. Inexcusably heavy. Way, way too heavy to recommend to anyone. The 920 isn't just big—the HTC Titan was big, and it was pretty great. The 920 is bloated, cumbersome. Anyone's first response will be "Ugh, God, this thing is heavy." It's a visceral, instant repulsion, and it doesn't get any less heavy, as if through some polycarbonate osmosis. It's just as galling every time you take it out of your pocket—stretched within a micron of its life—and that isn't the kind of feeling you want to have with an object you're going to be using all day every day."

The Lumia feels a million times better than an iPhone and the S3 in your hand.

It is massive though.

Applogies, mission enough just quoting the paragraph on this S3.

It's gizmodo. TBH I hadn't even looked at the reviews was just going off the opinon of people who've bought them on Twitter.

No, we all know about your opinions

But i suggest you go and have a play with one because the extra 50g isn't really that bad, tbf after 5mins you don't really notice it.

Yep buying an android confirmed them to be right.

Seen reports of them randomly resetting themselves too but no doubt that'll be fixed with an update.

Windows app stores is growing by around 300 apps a day so it's gaining momentum.

Looks a terrible phone, massive, shocking battery life and laggy/stuttery due to not being able to power the screen properly but regardless I still want to see what 440ppi looks like.

Anyone on here actually got one of these yet? Interesting to see if WP8 has developed.

I've played with a few in the shops and the interface is cool and camera is good, but the software is a generation behind Android.

I'd be tempted if I knew the value of the phone wouldn't plummet through the floor within 6 months.....

Weight isn't nearly as big an issue as the size.
Reminds me of holding the original Game Boy.

My old boy has got one of these, it's heavy yeah (I've got an S3) but it doesn't feel particularly uncomfortable.

Unfortunately his has broken, again. Proximity sensor this time (the thing that switches the screen on/off when you're on the phone or wanting to use the keypad) so is back with Nokia.

Not really, I've used W8 on my desktop and a Surface tablet though - I quite like it.

My old man is a developer and he's been pinning hopes on W8 so he can develop some apps after getting sick of developing for iOS. If you've got any specific questions I can pass them on.

Are there any phones that are fucking decent just now?
Contract is up soon and I'm bored of my iPhone. But I can't fault the phenomenal build quality and reliability.

Are they durable though? That's the reason I switched from my old Desire to the iPhone. Broke two screens at work on the HTC and in the year and a half I've had the 4, it's taken a fucking beating without anything more than a scratch.
