Anyone ever cleaned one out ?, i got a fault diagnosis carried out on my car, the EGR was shown not to be working, the bloke said the engine management light may come, so sods law few months later its come on, only every now & again, should i try cleaning it or jus leave & replace it (new one bout £170.00) bearing in mind i want to sell it soon.

Just take it off and clean the insides as much as you can.
I've got one from a 50k engine you can have for £30 inc post.....

Its on the back of the lower inlet manifold. Throttle body side.

Black cylinder about 4" long and about 2 wide. 2 bolts hold it on, The monting end is silver.

mine went, vauxhall said £208 i ran a mile, got one from a salvage yard for £35

my egr valve broke as well 1 month down the line my piston rings have gone too
