right a single sub says it can handle 2,4,8ohm loads,

and the amp i want says it can do 1x700watt max, 1x 350w/rms [2ohm] and 1x 200rms [4ohm]

how would i get it to kick out 350rms? because that would be just a little more than what i want, the sub is 400rms.

btw this is an audiobahn sub
12" natural sound woofer, 45oz strontium magnet, 400w RMS, freq response 24hz-1khz, efficiency 91db, foam surround, non pressed non transfer paper cone, KM3 coated for virtually no cone distortion. 2" 4 layer ASV voice coil, dual 4 ohm, 2ohm or 8ohm operation.

the amp The V-Power amplifiers are designed for exceptional efficiency, quality and versatility — delivering exceptionally powerful and accurate amplification.

• 700Wx1 (MAX)

RMS 14.4V Power
• 350W x 1 [2ohms (1%THD)]
• 200W x 1 [4ohms (1%THD)]

thanx for the help guys, if its quick replys, i might buy this tonight or at least 2morrow

You would wire both voice coils of the subwoofer in parallel to show the amp a 2 ohm load.

With 350RMS ur gonna be under running that sub

Nope it would be the Vibe BB3, but its only 4x50RMS i think.

Wiring them in parallel is easy.

The sub will have two sets of terminals on it whereas this diagram shows two subs with one set of terminals.

Sorry for the shabby diagram, wiring the coils like that will also wire them in parallel.

Yup, either diagram is fine, just one diagram uses more cable and is ideal really if you dont have thick cable.

Only order it if you intend to do everything correctly i expect you to get at least a diesel battery and a decent wiring kit

Install is 90%

4 gauge will be ok, dont forget to upgrade the earth strap though.

I got my diesel battery from my local motor factors for £27, has 650CCA's, brilliant battery.

The earth strap is the wire that goes from the negative terminal of your battery to the engine block and to the cars chassis. Its the cars ground. You will need to upgrade this or add another strap to cope with extra current, otherwise your amp wont get the juice it needs.
