i recently got a 2ltr engine conversion on me corsa gsi at courtenay sport
ive had nohing but trouble since i got it back & it's been up there about five fking times to be fixd. (free of charge so i cant really moan too much) now there is a proper bad ticking noise when i start it up but seems to go away after about ten to fifteen minutes. dont get me wrong the 2.0ltr conversion is mad (when its bl00dy workin) blitzed an rs turbo yesterday hahahaha courtenay seem to swear blind it's ok but im not convinced ive blown so many engines in my time im worried im gonna do the same to this 1 (what could this tickng noise be and could it fck the engine completly)

Dont worry bout it m8, mines does this every morning all C20 XE's do it, its just the lifters that are cold, if it bothers you you can replace them for about £150 - £200.

someone told me that the ones off the V6 fit, and are better as thay hold the oil in when the engine is turned off.
I have no idea, it was one of those crazy drunken pub conversations
mine also plays tickety tick when its cold.

Your fisrt port of call would be to clean them.
This has sorted out 80% of cars I have done.
Look on cavweb (You will need to register I think to view it)
