on a c16xe...common problem on these engine so im told
how can i sort it, its affecting the performance at lower revs.

cant really see how this happens tho?
Who told you you had sticky valves? or was it just a guess, as the only way you be able to really tell would be to get the head off.... not the best sunday afternoon tinker job.
Is it caused by slightly bent valves??!?!?!?!

its in a block that a mate has, its out of the car, cos transfering to valver. was thinking of putting th blacok in mine, but he says its got a sticky valve in 1 cylinder.

Its fixed to the drive chain, so how it sticks without breaking I dont know....

all i know is it's got a sticky valve on one piston? aparently a common problem on c16xe's. anyone know

a sticky valve on 1 clyinder....
I have heard the term been used before, but no one has told me what it is, or how it happens....
cant see how it happens.... without a bent valve?

14xe & 16xe's were bad for sticky valves its due to a build up of carbon. Your supposed to remove the head & use a reamer down the valve guides to fix it.
If they're not that sticky then use a decent fuel flush in the tank & then another 1 drawn thru the map sensor pipe usually works

i've read u can just drive the car a bit harder for a bit to free it up, cant remember where i read it but it was in haynes or somehwere reputable.
