it means you will loose oil

if ya canrt spot where its coming from, steam clean the engine then it will make it obvious as you will see new oil staining appear.
Could cost ya £5 for a new gasket could be allot more for summit else hard to say without knowing where its coming from.
Also be sure ya aint burning it
