i have lowered my car 40mm on the rear and it scrubbs a lot still and i have filed the acrh away a little, bent the metal lip out, but it seems to be rubbing higher up in the arch how can i sort this. btw its 195/45/16 ET45

Take off your wheel and spray sum spray paint in your arch where you think its scrubbing then just bang away at that point with a hammer. good luck

ive got mine lowered 40 on 195/45/16's with no rubbing and no arch work

thats weird problem you have mate...
cant understand why ur getting rubbing especially on a 45 offset..
Heres what to do to assure u get no rubbing...
take ur rear wheels off and ur rear plastic arches, grind all metal bolts off and grind as much plastic arch as you can... then just bond the arches back on... job done..
