its coming from the rear sounds like underneath, under heavy bass.... rattles like fook, cant really locate it though....

any one had this?

tailgate is common, window wipers, the heat shields under the car often do to.

could be the tailgate.... how do i stop it, does sound like its coming from underneath though.... its all dynamatted too :S

prob heat shields, not a lot u an do bar remove it and take the risk of petrol tank getting too hot.
How many dynamat layers in the boot u got?

just one.... sounds like a really metal'ish rattle so it must be tha.... any way of puttin rubber in between ?

just a few 10mm nuts or 8mm maybe. I've not been running heat sheilds on my nova for ages, with no problem at all.

How many rally nova have no heat sheild and a skidded underside? How many have "issues"
yeah none, and remebr they dont' rev below 5-6k for up to 20min stages

i removed my heatshield on downpipe but am dubious about removing one by fuel tank ....

u want 3 + layers in the tailgate aswell tbh.

There's so much airflow under there anyways. what are you worried will happen?? The tank scan sit there in spain in 40deg heat all day long and don't expolde every where!!

Granted, but there's few cars running around without and sheilding on there with no issues.

ok well i could only advise about my experience and personally i was a bit worried.

Im sure as you say it would be perfectly fine, but i cant guarentee that so i didnt advise it. Strange yours rattles korsa tho mine doesnt...

have put it down put the rear crash panel that moves when the tunes r up high, guy who done the exhaust, had to cut 2 small /`\ /`\ shapes into it so it isn't as strong now
