Well Im sure I can hear hissing when I rev my engine, so I had a word with the lad tht bodged my cat on for the MOT and he says that he used a sealant to connect the cat to the manifold, not a gasket.
Can I get a gasket from vaux, if so how much (roughly) and are they easy to fit?

Its a 1.0 12v 1998.

maybe try phoning vauxhall or motor factors..... just maybe

no no no, never use any type of sealant etc BEFORE the CAT, coz once its dried little bits of it can crack of and fook up the cat!!!!

new gasket from vaux is only a few quid!!
new CAT from vuax on a 1.0 12v is quite expensive i think, compared to other cars!!

since i had my new CAT fitted their is also a type of hissing sound!!!
not sure if its the cat or air leak??
