The fast road spec exhaust manifold, which takes up approximately the same space as the original XE manifold = Part no. EX-M-CAV-GSI16V.
high spec exhaust manifold that requires a 2.5” exhaust system is EX-M-AST3-S16V

When I spoke to Blueflame, I mentioned a 3" bore, similar to what J100's using on his Tony Law system, but I'd say 2.5" would be better for the majority.
Stainless is only because people like stainless steel for the sake of it. Mild wouldn't be a problem.

to need a 3" system you would need a mega tuned XE, like havign a turbo on it!
2.5" is nice for 230BHp ish nasp.
why have stainless when it cost double mild and won't last twice as long?

With a custom manifold, the materials wouldn't double the price.
I've no preference to mild or stainless, whatever the majority want is fine by me. Anyone wanting mild or stainless could probably just request it anyway.

id want whatever is cheapest as it will be wraped
count me in for a 2.5" manifold.... if the price is good...
What are they using as a pattern?
4-1, 4-2-1?

Mild + wrap won't last long?
Or stainless + wrap won't last long?
What won't last?
Pattern is really to be decided. Prob 4-2-1 to keep the majority happy.

why not rip off the SBD type C manifold??
exhaust+heat wrap won't last long, stainless or not. Although in the relativeley gental road use most will recieve may not be an issue.

oh Ashely will already do a corsa-b specific manifold for 2L and system 2 box.
I could arrange a group buy, although it's in 2.25" which is fine for most 2L's that woudl want one.
would be in the region of 320-350 for the lot.
oh to add John would do a 2.5" one aswell, but that would cost a bit more, as the corsa just has a 2box 2.5" bore system and manifolf done for it.

I thought you meant the wrap would cause the metal to deteriorate or something. Wrap can always be redone.

Phoned BTB this morning.... They supply SBD
For there Race system (good for upto 300bhp they say) is aprox £470 from them
i'm asuming thats the same as SBD's C...
email from them
I think the exhaust manifold you would need for that spec of engine is our EX-M-AST3-S16V which is £401.17 +VAT. It would probably need some modification to make it fit.
which works out at £471 or so

Yeah it causes th emetal to deteriorate, I mean th ewhole lot won't last, sorry my wording is a bit poor.
that price from BTB is just the manifold no? I mean the whole manifodl and a 2box comp system

would include, the whole leot from the head to the pipe out the back.
but no rubbers.
If you want a one off manifold specifi to yoru cams etc. then you'd be lookgin at around 500 all in.
But for off th shelf it's much o cheaper as said.
what spec are you runnign anyways adam? the 225kit or equivalent to that? cause a 2.25" woudl be better suited ot that.

steel rods and solid lifters?
Cause 230 is about the limit for the hydrolic lifters. so 2.5" woudl be a bit big really
in the ideal world.

SBD Type: A-2.0L-XE or EX-M-AST3-S16V
It can be modified to fit the MK2 Astra 16v High specification exhaust manifold It must be fitted with an exhaust system with a minimum diameter of 2.5". (when fitting all exhaust studs must be removed & replaced with cap head bolts)

think the spec you'll be running, 2.25" woudl be better.
and dont' spend on the rods etc.. get a straight cut box
