Hi
I have a Corsa 1.2 on a P plate, does this model have a problem with water pumps? The reason I ask is : Not had the car very long but when starting the car after a few seconds a get a noise which sounds like someone is banging on a tin can, and doesn’t get better once warm The noise is coming from the left side of the engine, checked out the timing belt area, which looked ok. Im thinking if the pump bearing was on its way out could it make the impeller blades hit the pump housing.
Thanks Kev

could be loads of things. water pumps are pretty reliable on vauxhalls.
get it checked out before something serious happens, you will never diagnose a problem like this by guessing on the net
