just before i change sum bulbs and the speedo unit is the the removal of the speedo cable from a gsi model hard ? and does it just twist and unclip?

screws off the gearbox... and theres a little clip that holds it onto the back of the dials... this is a mechanical speedo i'm on about...

my corsa sport 1999 has a electronic speedo so it comes straight out no probs, i've just fitted blue leds to my speedo, the only prob i had was removing the steering coloum, what a bitch

where it goes into the actual clocks there is a little clip which u press in and the cable will pull out

just pull the dials towards you... get yer hand in behind so you can feel the speedo cable.... theres a little clip just underneath it... just press it and the cable will pop off...
