wanting to lower a calibra as los as possible really without major archwork. have 17" dare wheels with offset of 45. seen kits for 50mm but am wanting lower. is this possible without much work and where could i buy the springs without spending money on coilovers?
and any pics of different drops would be appreciated

get cavalier 60mm springs theyre exactly the same and it should be fine that low with 17 in the correct vauxhall offset

they the same as cally springs? the why not get calibra ones then 
or do they lower he car more or something? im jst not sure if 50/60mm is low enuf for what i want. want something like 60mm nova springs on a corsa sort of thing

60mm is pretty low on a cally!

Can't lower a 2.0 16v Calibra easily, especially 60mm.

why do u say that ed? what exactly needs doing,what problems is there?

I wouldn't even bother trying.
The problem you have to overcome on the 4x4 and 16v (not sure if it also applies to the 8v Calibras too?) models is the Independant Rear Suspension, or IRS. Basically, if you lower it, the rear camber will be totally and utterly buggered and the car will become un-drivable. You can get camber kits, but you are limited to about a 30-40mm drop.

well thats shitty news lol. i often see 40mm drops on calibras and they do look lowish so will i be okay with the camber if i just lower it 40?

You have to adjust the camber if you want to lower it, no matter how little the drop.

my turbo is lowered 80mm annd is fine just had to get a camber kit handles good dont use it in 4x4 often tho as its more fun in 2wd

Was thinking a 4x4 that low would put too much stress on the transfer box/differentials... So you never use it in 4x4?
