I have converted my 1.2 8v to a 1.6 16v x16xe and swapped my f13 for an f15 gearbox. Anyways my speedo aint working and i have been told that my f15 is a cable driven box and my clocks are electric. I have heard of a way that the internals of the f15 can be modified to solve this or would it be easier just to get a box with electric sender in it? Please if there is a guide for the modification option please let me know as im really struggling here. And if it would be easier just to get an f13 or f17 as i was told to get should i do that instead? thanks

the gearbox is cable driven, so no signal is passing through the electronic sender that is in the box.

theres a size 10 bolt that holds it into the box... look at you old 1.2 8v gearbox and you will see it... remove it and pull the part that the cable would connecto to out...
then put the 1.2 one into the f15... jobs a goodun..

but im lazy heheh so is it the electronic sender from an f13 1.2 8v gearbox i need? and then all i do is shrink my hands to fit into that tiny space next to the gear linkage and unbolt the sender i have in there and swap it with the f13 one? and plug in the cable to the tp of that?

what year is the car, basically as stated above you take the cable drive (white in colour) out... and put the electronic sender (black in colour) in its place. Red/blue wire goes to the speedo, brown is an earth and black is an ignition live
it may even be possible to use an astra digi dash transducer... ive heard of the corsa leccy sender working with the digi dash so i'd assume it may work the other way around

i actually do have an astra digi dash transducer in my shed. i got it when i bought a digi dash a while back but now have clocks back in as the lcds cracked. How would i fit the digi dash transducer? would that go into the box and then just wire the wires up?

ok i removed the sender from the box and it appears to be an electric on that was in already. Dunno for what model. So tommoro im gonna buy a 1.2 8v sender and also get a cable driven sender specific to the f15 gearbox and attach my digi dash transducer to this and pray one of these works.
