Purchased a 1.4 16v sport a few weeks back for peanuts.. Reason being the car only just starts and then only just idles.. So far I've raplaced the plugs, HT Leads and Throttle Body but no luck. After changing the throttle body yesterday and trying to start the car for 5 mins I noticed I could hardly smell petrol (I assume it should reek of petrol after 5 mins!). As I dont want to keep changing parts thay maybe fine I was wondering if theres a quick way to test the fuel is getting to the engine (removing a fuel pipe maybe?). At least then it will save me replacing the fuel pump/filter and I can then move on to other areas :-(

Cheers
Jay.

Looks like I may have finally found out whats up with the corsa!!
Pushed the valve in and got nothing apart from the smallest dot of petrol that was at the end of tube. Also tried with the ignition on and nothing. Just before I change the fuel filter/pump I just wanted to check with other people who have pressed this valve. Are you supposed to get a fair amount of fuel spraying out??? Also will any corsa pump fit the car? (1.4 16v)

Cheers
Jay.
