sorry if this has been done before but i was talking to someone today about alloys and he said if i get 16's i will have to adjust my dials and all...is this true?
and if i were to get 15's do i really have to have a 45 wall? he said the 50 would be too big
thanks in advance

i had 15's with 50 profile and my speedo was fine
16's would be fine too
as far as i know they are in error anyway depending on the year of your car

I don't have that much of a problem tbh only roughly 1-2mph out if that (when comparing speedo to GPS at low speeds)
And i don't know if or how you can 'adjust' a speedo anyway mate
Just roll with it no pun intended

When changing alloys for bigger ones you choose a lower profile tyre to compensate for this.

Try that, as said if your reduce the profile of the tyre itself the rolling radius of the tyre will stay the same
And I doubt you could adjust your speedo if it was necessary anyhow
