Hey, can you bore out a C20xe to make it a 2.2 instead of the standard 2.0?
If so what would i need to do it, i.e. new pistons

You only bore them up to about 2050cc... Best thing to do is to get the taller bottom end off of an Omega or Frontera and build a 2.2 engine off of that. They can be bore up to about 2300cc...

you can increase the stroke of the 20xe bottom end i'm sure you can, ending up with silly displacement

mines 2050cc. bored 1 mm, but they can do it 2mm and still be reliable

You're better off boring it out to around 2050-2100cc rather than using the longer stroking bottom end because the rod length on the 2.2 engine gives you bad rod angles which make revving the engine to high RPM risky.
