what coil shud i use to run my throttle bodies? the wiring harness is alpha with a 4 pin plug, i have tryed to run a 16v corsa coil pack but it doesnt fire. tested the feeds against another 16v corsa and there arse about face. there is two switched lives coming from the ecu and im assuming the two earths that come from the amplifiers are the triggers. iv got a ford coil but it only has three pins and was wondering if any body knows how 2 convert them 4 wires to three or if there is a vauxhall coil that has four pins that would run it. thanks

need an un-amplified coil pack i.e from a focus 1.8 16v. not too clued up on 3 pin coils but I hope u didnt damage the ecu when attempting to use the corsa one. I know a lad that tried that (after many warnings not to) and he damaged the ecu. that was a webber alpha one as well.

have you tried cranking the engine while testing the coil feeds with a multimeter?

most aftermaket ecu's requre an unamplified coli pack to be used. my ecu was bought from a vaux tuning specialist and are made by the maufacturer(omex) to be used with a standard coil pack which is amplified.
