yah i no m8 doing my head in nothing comes up on paper clip test as i say starts up then dies after about 3 secs then start stop start stop then starts but runs really rough whole car shakes and black stuff coming out the exzurst

did you say you have checked the injectors?

black smoke etc sounds like its overfueling when its cold. Other then temp sensor i dont know what else controls this as its like an automatic choke isnt it when they first start up?

Been getting the bits and pieces ready for rebuild today, will be having the head skimmed next week, then rebuilding and replacing everything possible. Here's some pics (for shits and giggles):
