wondered if anyone could help i have a knocking noise whilst turning nothing to do with engine or gearbox cos noise carrys on even with clutch down common sense says it the wheel bearings!! does anyone know if this would be HUB bearings seen as the only ones i can find on the fronts!! hard to change?? anyone had an troubles?? cheers... mattcape

tricky to change as you need a bearing press.
theres a guide in the current issue of 'car mechanic' on a tigra but the same thing.

ye have managed to do without the press on a diff car before!! jus have to be careful!!  you know what sort of bearing they have??

its most likely the cv joint bearings hum cvs knock

 starting to get worse but is kind of knocking noise even whilst goin straight now!!  had it jacked up and was spinning wheel could feel a kind of grinding/knocking hard to explain seems to be worse in the wet weather!! dont help living in england!!

i have a knocking to like something is lose i just changed the cv joint and boot today what else could it be?
