If im on an 18 month contract with Orange, and i want a new phone, is the only way to buy the phone sim free, im just over half way through this contract but they wont offer me an upgrade for a few months.
Can i not extend the contract back so that its 18 months again?

I just did, it asked me to phone, and the departments closed untill tomorow, it will cost me around 500 notes to buy one sim free and will get less than £100 for my E900. Do i have to send them my old phone back?

nope you can keep your phone most companies will let you upgrade free of charge when your a few month ner the end of your contract, however, if your talking about paying £500 might be cheaper to drop your current tariff to the lowest one then cancel the contract pay the remaing months on the contract at the lower tariff rate and get a new contract with the new phone you want.
