i timed my car today and the 0-60mph was 23 seconds this is appauling, i no the engine is crap but on her eit says it should be 18 seconds. why is mine so slow its done 39000 miles...

haha i actually did this the other day

my 1.2 8v has got 49k and with two people in the car it did it innnnnnnn

17.6 secs

to put that into perspective

my mates mr2 turbo is close to 5.5 secs
mates vti is around 7.5

my car is

i was so embarrased im never going to do it again EVER!!!

Iv managed around 16s in mine with me and a passanger. Poor start in first, not like it would make a difference lol

i did yes but it has an autostart function so started moving at exactly right time. iv got quite a big sound system. but shudnt make that much difference, its on 17's aswell. i supose it all adds up really. o well c20xe soon hopefully (well after uni)

my mate did mine for me few weeks ago - 1.6 sport, dbilas, piper decat, ramair sealed induction, janspeed 4-2-1 managed 8sec dead on by a stopwatch on a phone

btw corsa 128v did you take into account your speedo error

i did mine upto 65 just to make sure i was at 60

mine used to do 23 seconds then i threw the stereo in the bin and it went down to 17. then i threw the rest of the non essentials in the bin spare wheel etc and ended up just under 16. then threw the engine in the bin and got down to 7. in the bin with the xe and got down to 5.5ish. thats about all i gota say about that

I timed my 1.2 16 valve and got 15.sumthing secs. In the book it is just less than 12.

never timed 1.2 8v properly but as a rough guesstimation i worked it out to be in the region of 20 seconds.

and it tops out at 90, jus won't go any faster. so god knows how anyones got much faster than that outta 1.
