can anyone explain where the crank sensor connector plug is on a x14xe.

the engine light came on giving this fault code so i checked sensor and it was loose so i tightened it up and it was fine, now the same fault code has come up again but sensor is fine, i just want to check the connections befor i go looking for a new sensor if its not needed.

a pic would be exellent if anyone has one

if the engine wasn't running then the crank sensor will throw up a fault well at least it does on the motronic systems on the earlier engines.

Probably not, if the engines running the crank sensor is probably fine.

Flash the code out to see if its still show crank sensor fault. X14xe management doesn't show the crank sensor code without the engine running like on Motronic.
Well mine doesn;t anyway.

And you cant do a code test with the engine running.

If it keeps flashing that code up, then yeah.

Altho the problem maybe the wiring and not the sensor itself.
