Looking at a new Tv to go with the Elite306 that al be going to get soon.
Have found a nice tv just looking for some feadback if possible as i know nothing about tvs ect

max res of an interlaced 1024x1042, i'd get and lcd and have a decent picture instead.

what a load of crock - watching standard definition tv and DVDs it'll look better than any 42" LCD that has a higher resolution.
I can't comment on the quality of the screen, but sony plasmas are usually alright, the only down fall that i see is the fact that it won't play high definition footage (not even 720i/p unless the plasma downscales it).
Best thing you can do is look at reviews, try avforums etc
Mo - that review seems a bit shite, the the poster goes on about "regassing" a plasma which isn't even possible. And a plasma Tv will typically last anything between 10-20years of normal use. However, the screens brightness will very slowly deterorate over the years.

since when do sony do plasmas?
Bad Points: The plasma gas only lasts for about 5 years before it has to be replaced
