Hi everyone,
Im not sure if im in the right place but ive got a 1.2 corsa B and every time i change gear then put my foot down it seems like it loses power before picking up.
Not sure if that makes any sense but its the only way i can describe it as im clueless when it comes to stuff like this.
Has anyone got an ideas what could be wrong with it?

Could be flate spots which could be caused by the AFM which is a sensor, there is other possible causes but this was the problem when it happend with mine.

I just read another thread on here about losing power and its not that drastic that its stalling. Its just when you change gear and put your foot down it just sounds sluggish and seems like its having a job going.

1.2 8 valve engines tend to have a problem with going anyway. has it just started doing it or since you bought the car

they dont really tend to go wrong much due to the fact theres nothing to them. only thing that affected mine was the head gasket going. have a look at your oil cap to see if theres white gunk inside.

Just checked that, oil caps fine and the head gasket was done at the end of 2006. Ive had it since May last year

I dont know mate. When i brought the car i got a bundle of receipts with it for things it had had done in the last 7 months thats how i knew the head had been done. But i cant find anything for the fuel filter and i know i havent done it. Would that cause this then?

it could be lack of fuel flow, could be starving the engine, this is only a suggestion and if u havnt had it changed it would be a good idea to go ahead and get it done as there only pennies and easy to change
