Clutch is a consumable part.
But a box should never really fail, especially on a 1.2 8v.

Theres no hard and fast rule, but generally vaux boxes are quite strong!

A lot of people think their boxes are on the way out but truth is they just need to do the gearbox oil as its commonly forgotten about.
