my window tries to open itself when i try and close it whilst on bumpy roads etc.
it there any way of disabling this feature??..
i guess its just done from resistance of the motor back to the e/w control module?
surely a capacitor or extra ve+ live would solve it?..

thanks

Mine does this sometimes? I always thought it was just me accidently leaning on the button or something?

Mines always done it, If the motor finds it harder to push up the window than normal then it will stop and go back down a bit. Its to stop you de-capitating yourself with your automatic windows.

When its closing your window and you hit a bump suddenly there is a jolt and the motor uses more power for a split second and it triggers the safety feature

Instead of holding it for a sec and it going to the top, tap it instead.

My mates CL500 drivers side does that too. But it takes him about 5 mins to get the window up

I used to get this on the 5 door runabout and put up with it until it did it and would ignore my demands on the button.

Pull the door bin/card off and I bet that the plug to the drivers side electric window is just slightly loose (or the contacts are) because once I re seated it, the problem pissed off.
