hi all ive just purchased a sri 8v corsa off here with engine problem, the engine was fitted after the original engine blew up the engine runs but cuts out after serious over fuelling and black smoke, ive read up about this fault code and all i can come back with is clean up the earth points it cant be the wiring loom as this was fine with the old engine and ecu so i can rule that out, ive tried another sensor and no change, so it has to be something on that engine could i not just earth the TPS straight to the body? has anyone been able to solve this problem?

Sand all the earths down so their connections are shiney and make sure they're on nice and tight and clean the connection on the TPS where it plugs in. But carb cleaner whould do it.

Check your wiring to the TPS carefully it may have been caught on something during the conversion.

Then whip the batt off for a few hours to clear the code.
