how do you and is it possible to remove the std immob on a x16xe ecu?
like the early c16xe used to be no chip and no trasponder ring.
as i need to know to fit a late spec immob'd x16xe into a non immob'd early spec corsa

think you can chip the ecu, or something along them line's yes..
cheaper to wire in the transponder though.. also, added security, if you fit it proper, with the chip in the key etc

I looked into this a few years ago, ended up finding a few companies who could over ride the immobiliser if you sent them the ECU but cant remember any company names becaue we never had it done, was just a case of phoning auto electricians to see if they knew anyone and eventually found someone who could do it.
I believe that if you fit a superchip it over rides the immobiliser as well but Id contact them to make sure first.
Have you had a look at your steering column? you might be lucky and already have the connector there even though you dont have an immobiliers equipped car. I fitted an immobilised X16XE to a corsa merit and im sure that didnt have an immobiliser as standard

A superchip doesn't remove the immobiliser function.
